Hi All,
I am having a vsam file called AAA.BBB.CCC.
Now I wanted to create another vsam file with the same options (like record size, shareoptions, controlintervalsize, etc?), called XXX.YYY.ZZZ.

For this by using idcams utility how to create a vsam file (without using file-aid), could you let me know please.

Basically I wanted to know, whether such facility is there or not?
If there please post the code also.
Thank you,
Rat.

Hi,

The MODEL parameter allows you to model your cluster by modelling it after an existing cluster

For the detailed syntax, please refer the IDCAMS manual.
