I have need to know if it is possible to dynamically remove the MODETAB= value from a CICS APPLID dynamically? I have a major node where all the CICS regions are defined APPLCICS. I cannot bring down this major node because our production regions are also in this node. I have defined some new terminals that go through a terminal server and they won't connect. The terminal server uses the default LU's of TCP* and a different USSTAB. I can logon using the local USSTAB but not the remote one. From what I have determined the error is caused by a mismatch of logmodes.

I don't believe you can do this without a VTAM update. Because all your CICS APPLID's are defined to the same major node and consequently, the same MODETAB, an INACTIVATE, REMOVAL of MODETAB and REACTIVATE will not work, because Production regions would be affected and management's hair would catch fire. Sorry to say, but I think you might be SOL
