Hi all,
FILE-CONTROL.
SELECT .... ASSIGN TO SYS004.MEMBER.
In JCL, we just give MEMBER as DD Name. what is this SYS004 represent? the file used here is PS file.

Hi

in common
SELECT .... ASSIGN TO ddname

This ddname we map to the jcl program...

SYS004.MEMBER,
is this found in ur program , if so plz put that cod

I heard
SELECT .... ASSIGN TO AS-MEMBER means it is a ESDS FILE. Likewise what is SELECT .... ASSIGN TO SYS004.MEMBER??

like SYS004.MEMBER we can see some declaration like UT-S-DDNAME.

Even if we dont mention this. The job will execute successfully.
