Combining contents of 2 files in to single record

Hello,can somebody please give me an idea on how to accomplish this?

I have 2 files, content of file 1 is:

0000012 000001

Content of file 2 is:

0000018

Desired output is:

0000018 000002

The 000001 in file 1 is incremented by 1
