I am using XMIT from a batch JCL to transfer a library (using IKJEFT01). I am referring to the library via the DD parameter of the XMIT command. The XMIT is processed perfectly, but when I RECEIVE the dataset, the default output name is set to

USER.DDNAME.XMITIN

where USER is my user id (as expected), but DDNAME is literally DDNAME, and XMITIN is the DD statement label used in the XMIT job. This does not only look strange, but I also miss some information that was contained in the original dataset name.

Is there a way to override this default dataset name created by using the DD parameter of the XMIT statement? Or is there just no way around it? I have checked the manuals and the web, but I have not found a description of this naming mechanism.
