Hi All,
I am now working on a online system and I would like to do some R&D on performance of the system.I have experience only on batch system performance optimization.
Could you please suggest some of the options or links which I can start with it.
The system using Cobol, CICS & DB is DB2
Regards,

The time between pressing Enter and the screen coming back should be no more than about half a second. If it is, you're wasting your time trying to optimize things. |

Well, if the task is delayed by extremely poor performace of files/databases and /or contention, it's surely worthwhile doing something to alleviate the condition(s)? And, in many cases, online systems are not screen-based....
