Hi,
Considering Transid - T1 is with program - p1
in p1 if xctl is used with program - p2 the current program will be terminated and the control will be transferred to the p2 with same trans-id T1.
I want to know that whether in PCT both the programs p1 and p2 will be having T1 as transaction ids . If so is it possible for single transid to have more than one program entry.
Clear me how the control is transferred to the p2 with in the same Transid-T1
While using Link command can we have different transid's or only one transid as in the case of Xctl .
Make me clear how the control is transferred to the program p2 in both the cases of Xctl and Link.
regards,

Only one program can be defined in a PCT. Programs will therefore not have the same transid as the program XCTL'ed of LINK'ed to. |

Hi,
As said by one of our friend, there can be only one TRANS-ID registered in PCT for a particular transaction. Here is the Transaction is the main program. XCTL-ed program is said to be sub-task within the transaction with respect to main program. It is not transaction, so it doesn't involve any TRANS-ID at all.
The same is applicable to LINK also.
Hope this helps.... |
