I am running a BMC UNLOAD for a LOB tablespace.
The job failed after processing 75% of the rows with "INSUFFICIENT SPACE OR INSUFFICIENT DIRECTORY SIZE"
After increasing the size of the , I resubmitted the job. The re-run failed after processing 10% of rows with following error.
BMC50775E 2: NEW MULTI DATASET CANNOT BE ALLOCATED FOR lob_tablespace, MAXIMUM NUMBER OF DATASETS REACHED
The explanation is brief.
Explanation: The utility required a new multi-data-set for the indicated
space, but the space already reached its maximum number of data sets.
Can anyone explain what the error means? Why is it being thrown after processing so few records?
Thanks,
JSN |

BMC50775E
taskNumber: NEW MULTI DATASET CANNOT BE ALLOCATED FOR databaseName.spaceName, MAXIMUM NUMBER OF DATASETS REACHED
Explanation: The utility required a new multi-data-set for the indicated space, but the space already reached its maximum number of data sets.
User response: If the maximum number of data sets has not been reached or more space is available, contact BMC Customer Support. |
Also, check with your DBA first and determine what has caused this, see if DSSIZE is most matters in the essence |
