Hello all,
Can I ask someone to explain the following situation: When I issue command (DISPTREE OPCC,TARGET=SYS1) to show tree structure in System Automation for Tivoli Workload Scheduler Controller called OPCC I see that it is under DB2. This situation caused some problems after IPL. So my question is: Is it necessary to keep this kind of relationship (OPCC will start only when DB2 will be started) or can I remove this relationship?
I was looking for answer in: TWS Automation Programmer’s Reference and Operator’s Guide and TWS User's Guide and Reference v8.6 but without success.

Do you use the History function in TWS? That's the only thing that it uses DB2 for. |

Well, that is a strange definition. Normally SA will start/stop OPC and DB2.
OPC can then be used to trigger SA to stop DB2, for instance for housekeeping purposes, and to start DB2.
At least that is/was the way we did it in my SA days.
Talk with your automation people. |
