Hi,

There is a problem in a large SNA subarea network environment. They have some 3745 units(NCP), after moving to OSA(XCA) they've found out that there is a 64k limit on base element address!(they have more than 65000 switch network LUs and other resources) it caused remaining some of 3745 machines online.

It is a single ICN node with switched major nodes. In the VTAM Start options ENHADDR=YES is set, however it seems Extended Element address will not be used in subarea network configuration( www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21041752 ).

What is the best way for moving from NCP to OSA with the least change in configuraion?

Thanks in advance
