Not able to understand ZD & FI in OUTREC statement

OUTREC FIELDS =(+1,PD,LENGTH=6,(-1),PD,LENGTH=6,-50,TO=ZD,LENGTH=8)

PLZ EXPLAIN THE ABOVE OUTREC STATEMENT CLEARLY.

OUTREC FIELDS =(21,5,ZD,TO=PD,X,8,4,ZD,FI,LENGTH=2)

IN THE ABOVE OUTREC ,IAM NOT ABLE TO UNDERSTAND 8,4,ZD,FI ,IS IT
CONVERTING 9 TO 12 BYTES INTO FIXED POINT FROM BINARY?


PLZ CLEAR ME THESE DOUBTS.

+1,PD,LENGTH=6 - creates a 6-byte PD output field with a value of P'+1'.
(-1),PD,LENGTH=6 - creates a 6-byte PD output field with a value of P'-1'.
-50,TO=ZD,LENGTH=8 - creates an 8-byte ZD output field with a value of Z'-50'

8,4,ZD,FI - converts a 4-byte ZD input field starting in position 8 to a 2-byte FI output field. FI is fixed-point (signed).

I won't have access to the internet for a few days, so I can't explain further right now.
