Hi,

I'm getting this message when I want to start CICS. Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this??

DFHPA1909 CICS DATA 216 IS INVALID FOR KEYWORD CICSSVC=. RESPECIFY KEYWORD AND DATA.

This is my config in the member IEASVCCI of the PARMLIB:

SVCPARM 216,REPLACE,TYPE(3),APF(NO),EPNAME(DFHCSVC) /* CICS SVC */

This is the SYSIN of the CICS:

APPLID=(CICS,CICS),
XRF=NO,
AUXTR=OFF,
AUXTRSW=NEXT,
EDSALIM=24M,
*GRPLIST=(DFHLIST),
GRPLIST=(XYZLIST),
FCT=NO,
TCT=NO,
SRT=NO,
SEC=NO,
TRTABSZ=64,
PGRET=P/,
PGPURGE=T/,
PGCOPY=C/,
PGCHAIN=X/,
.END

how can I check If the SVC number does correspond to the correct level of DFHCSVC?? or how can I try a different number...??

Thanks & regards
Gurpreet.

You need to work with your z/OS System personnel regarding a new or current assignment to the CICS SVC 216 (which is the normal default).

Are you performing a CICS Install or Upgrade and are you a CICS System Programmer or Tech Services personnel?

If you don't have this type of background qualifications, then don't mess with it and request assistance.

You are running an UNLICENSED and UNSUPPORTED operating system ( for the hardware platform used )

... my wild guess is that You IPLed with the wrong loadparm
