Can I have same step names at two places in a single job card...
My requirement is like to put:
//JSTEP01 EXEC PGM=PGMXYZ,COND=(0,LT)
and
//JSTEP01 EXEC PROCXYZ
in a single job card... Please assist.... |

I'm in accord with Mr Kevin: you can but is not a great idea.
Usually is recommended the use a unique stepname for different reasons:

+) schedulers or other product: not all the schedulers allow twice stepname because some kind of test in pre-submit phase are done and an error may occur.

U can use the same step name more than once under the same job card.
The only problem u would face is, when u require a restart |
