hey guys,
Newly, I have a problem with RMM and 3494 tape library
when i try to write in tape volume that kept in 3494 library, i see this jcl error :

Quote:

IGD306I UNEXPECTED ERROR DURING CBRXLCS PROCESSING 084
RETURN CODE 12 REASON CODE 66
THE MODULE THAT DETECTED THE ERROR IS IGDIDMUS
SMS MODULE TRACE BACK - IDMUS IDMSU IDM00 SSIRT
SYMPTOM RECORD CREATED, PROBLEM ID IS IGD00606

i checked dfsrmm panel volume and saw :
in dfsrmm panel, tape recording format is:
Quote:

Recording format : 256TRACK

but when i display tape in sms i see another thing ( in attachment )
we never eject tape from 3494 and for a long time i use it for backup.
i try to change recording technology by this command :

Quote:
RMM CV Z111N1 RECORDINGFORMAT(256TRACK) force

system accept this command but anything does not change.
do you have any idea for this mismatch?
thanks alot

That is not a JCL error - it is an error message from whatever program issued it.

Also you should not post attachments as a) a cut'n'paste of the screen is quicker and uses less bytes, b) some people do not look at attachments just in case it is harmful - one of those people may be just the person you need to answer your query.
