Could anybody please let me know for a sample JCL for using GDGORDER parameter for concatenating GDG in FIFO order. Which IBM Utility or PGM are we using for the use of GDGORDER DD parameter in JCL? |

I know of no JCL that uses it; my shop is still in the process of upgrading from z/OS 1.13 to 2.1, and we have a high enough skill level that it is superfluous. However, you may wish to read the z/OS 2.1 MVS JCL Reference for examples of GDGORDER. Note that it is a JCL parameter, and thus what program is being run in the step is irrelevant. |

I believe that in order for you to use this feature your Sysprog must enable it in the IGGCATxx member if this has not been done you have no chance, by default the feature is inactive |

Thanks a lot Akatsukami, nevilh and Rohit. I will check sysprog for enabling this feature if it is not enabled. Currently i am performing GDG Concatenation in FIFO order by using LISTCAT. |
