Hi Guys, I have accidentally performed a DB2 bind plan for an unchanged CICS Program. Will this affect the execution of the program? Will there be a time-stamp error?
I am currently not able to check into my CICS region. icon_confused.gif Please advise.

Hello and welcome to the Forum,

DB2 uses table information to build its access path to the data. Many factors are taken into account: statistics are up-to-date, table has changed a lot since last bind, new index etc.
So, maybe your program will run faster now, maybe not.

It should be OK, as long as you have used the correct DBRM and the correct options.

Welcome.
DB2 is not my strongest point, but I guessed the experts were having a BBQ (or something like that) icon_razz.gif

Agreed with marso .. There will be no problem if the correct dbrm is used during bind

As Marso said, it could be really better or may go worst , so if you have any tools like OMEGAMON then check the stats of that transaction and see MIPS/MSU/CPU and that will answers the question.
