I believe, you have verified below link which will not provide you to what you asked for.

publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/cicsts/v3r2/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.cics.ts.doc%2Fdfha7%2Ftransactions%2Fcemt%2Fdfha7mk.html

However you can look at below section

publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/BOOKS/dfht5a09/1.2.5.2

Also we can find this by using various third party tool like Omegamon.

Contact your site support group. You are asking for information that is specific to a site, so only someone working at your site could provide the precise values.

And using CEMT INQ TRANS will tell you nothing about time outs since time out values are CICS system parameters and are NOT specifically tied to any transaction -- time outs are associated with ALL transactions.

Thanks for the reply.

@Rohit Umarjikar
I believe the 2nd link what you have provided can be used when we are defining and my question is how can we know about the timeouts, There will be some kind of direct command to findout this.

@Robert Sample

So you mean developer in any company can't access or can't find the timeouts defined for the particular CICS transaction???

FYI I am not asking the site specific information. I just want to know how to find the time out values in the CICS environment.

Note what Mr. Sample said:
Quote:

So there are no timeout value for a particular transaction. As the timeout values are maintained via RACF, you -- and the vast majority of developers -- can't access them; you'll have to ask.

This is what meant by my second link..

In addition to the RACF base segment information such as user ID, password and membership of RACF groups, the security administrator may also specify CICS-specific information in a portion of the RACF user ID definition known as the CICS segment. Each RACF profile is made up of segments, where the base segment is required and others are optional.

The most common use of the CICS segment is to specify operator identity (OPIDENT) and timeout (TIMEOUT) values. OPIDENT can be used in application processing by CICS (e.g., messages may be routed to users with a specific OPIDENT). The TIMEOUT value is used to time-out a user after a period of inactivity in their terminal session. The default value for TIMEOUT is zero and implies no timeout in force, a common setting would be TIMEOUT(0030) indicating a 30-minute timeout.

Also please be specific to what you want, Transactions can be timed out by various ways, describe your scenario in detail what have you done which made you to CICS TRX Time Out? Unless you give us the scenario none of us can be able to help further.

You did not read my post correctly. There are no time out values in the CICS environment EXCEPT FOR SITE-SPECIFIC VALUES. The CICS or RACF system programmer sets the various time out values for the CICS region; there are default values (which you can find in the CICS bookshelf) but most sites changes those default values.

ASK YOUR SITE SUPPORT GROUP.
