Hi there,
After upgrading from IMS v7.1(on z1.4) to IMS v11.1(on z1.11) suddenly we get huge amount of DFS968I messages on various HALDB partitions expecially in peak times. We are using DBCTL( CICS/TS 4.1). Intrestingly nobody sense backout consequences. I don't know what these backout means and why they are producing and how we can eliminate these backouts?
Thanks in advance |

DFS968I (are IMS V10) messages can mean that some recovery was initiated, so you also have to check for IMS error messages.
B.t.w. unwanted messages can be suppressed by defining them in the MPF. |

These should typically be observed in the IMS*CTL tasks or the SYSLOG. Do a Quick Reference for DFS968I and you'll see the complete description.
DFS968I DBD=dbdname WITHIN PSB=psbname SUCCESSFULLY BACKED OUT
Explanation:
This message identifies a successful backout for the named database.
Module:
DFSRBOI0
IMS backed out changes inititated by PSB=psbname mostly because of an error in processing in the psb. Examine what is the error. They should be available somewhere above this message on the IMS*CTL task or the SYSLOG |
