Hello Everyone,
I am trying to find out for our operations dept if there is a way to Delete a source module out of Prod (or move it under another subsystem name) with out destroying/deleting the load module in the run library. I moved a PKG module under the wrong system name, see below and want to clean up the prod Endevor library without changing anything in the loadlibs.
Can it be done, Please?
See the PKG subsystem below:
ELEMENT TYPE NS ENVIRON S SYSTEM SUBSYS
TRBPIR03 PKG PROD 2 GGSD SDTR00
TRBPIR03 CO2I2 PROD 2 GGSD TRBP00
TRBPIR03 CO3I2 PROD 2 GGSD TRBP00
TRBPIR03 CTL PROD 2 GGSD TRBP00
TRBPIR03 JCL PROD 2 GGSD TRBP00
TRBPIR03 LKD PROD 2 GGSD TRBP00
TRBPIR03 PLN PROD 2 GGSD TRBP00
TRBPIR03 SRC PROD 2 GGSD TRBP00 |

Hello,
Rather than doing this on your own, suggest you work with the Endevor admin(s) to make sure everyone is aware the fix is needed.
Also, your id may not have the necessary permissions to do this. |

Yes, my ID does not have permissions. I am working with the Endevor Admin at my shop. They (Our Endevor Admins) don't have any idea how to handle this request.
Is there somewhere to read about how this may be done? Is a call to CA Products the best thing to do?
Thank you so much for your input. |

Hello,
Rather than calling CA yet, i would take the Endevor people with you to talk with the Security Admins. The security system is where the permission(s) will need to be handled. If the Endevor support do not yet know "these rules" take them with you to talk with the Security Admins. |

Generally speaking, it's normally NOT a good idea to delete source but not load or load but not source. Usually you want to keep source and load in sync. Deleting one without the other can cause lots of problems down the line. Are you sure this is what you want to do? |

Good point!
Why would you want executables that cannot be mainained (i.e. missing source)? |

Because I have the exact same source in two different places. One of the places (subsystems) is incorrect and needs to be deleted from there. |

Ok.
Have you spoken with the security admins yet?
Is there anything we can do from here? |
