adding to previous post..
I tried with option 3.14 in ispf but it is searching from position 1 to 80.
but i want to search from position 5 to 72 .
Also in single attempt i need to search all members in a PDS, not individual. |

Do you have File-Aid or File Manager?
As you have posted in Dfsort I assume you wand a DFsort solution but that would require a step for each member. File-Aid I know has a search facility but I do not know if you can limit the columns searched and I presume File Manager has a similar function. Otherwise you may need to "roll your own" unless you can find something on the CBT tape and even then you would have to have permission to upload it. |

Hello,
I moved your topic to TSO/ISPF.
Almost used Other Mainframe Topics as your question has multiple solutions.
It can be moved again if needed. |

Pavan
Use 3.15 (Extended Search-For Utility).
In 3.15, Under Options Menu, select EDIT OPTIONS and give
This will search only between columns 5 to 72. |
