Hi All,
We are going thru the DB2 V10 changes and could see the statement as
"In DB2 Version 10 conversion mode (from Version 8 or Version 9.1), the following additional string formats are allowed in the specified limited contexts:
1. A string value of seven characters representing a date is allowed as an argument to the DATE function only.
2. A string value of 8, 13, or 14 characters representing a point in time is allowed as an argument to the TIMESTAMP function only."
Can you help me what actually they are referring 7 character of DATE function . Also the second point also little bit confusing me. Any help is much appreciated .I have goolge it & hardly didn't find 7 character representation of date |

Instead of googling did you go directly to the SQL Lang. Ref manuals? |
