Hi All,
We are using now DSNUTILB for Load to DB2 tables. Planning to convert PLATINUM Load from IBM Load. Kindly let me know which one is better for CPU save and performance wise. And can I have the PLATINUM Load sample JCL so I could test and find out which one is better. Thanks in advance for time and support. |

If there move is already being planned at your site, then there are, within your site, one or more documents which contain all the information that you require within the specific environment of your site.
Don't know what anyone else can do for you. Point out that "Platinum" is unlikely to mean "runs like a dog with no legs, costs a lot of money, but we hope no-one is going to notice before it is paid for and installed". |

You can probably get sample JCL from the documentation. |

Vicky,
The most probable place where you can find the documentation is at the shop where migration is planned. Instead of asking out here, check with your peers or support groups if they can assist. Besides I am not sure if the documentation is copyrighted, if so you may not be able to get it in a public forum. |

We are permitted to neither post copyrighted material not links to it (unless there is public permission). Anything like this posted is deleted.
If the organization is licensed to use the product, all of the material is available free. This includes sample execution JCL and control statements.
Check on the Platinum site to see if their documentation is restricted or is generally available. |

Hello,
CA documentation is available for free, but you got to register.
Below are the steps,
1. Click this Documentation Search Link
2. Click in Login/Register in the top, so that you can Register. Give your details, you will get a confirmation mail, after that you can login.
3. After logging, in "* Select a Bookshelf", type DB2 and select "CA Database Management Solutions Version 16.0.00 for DB2 for z/OS -US English" and Click Go, It will take you to a new page with all the documentation.
4. Since Platinum Load Utility is called Fast Load. Click "F" and download the documentation.
Regards,
Sushanth |
