remove duplicates using sort

hi ,

can any one plelase provide me a sort logic to remove duplicates with out altering record positions.

example:-

input:-
33
33
33
44
44
44
11
11
11
55
55
33
33

output:-
33
44
11
55
33

It's called Cobol or PL/I, and very simple, but I guess you'd rather see someone else do your work for you...
