Hello,
We have a HTTP server running on an LPAR and it hosts a website(html and java script that are present in USS). I am trying to measure the usage statistics of this website, i.e. finding how many IP addresses accessed a particular HTML file on a day.
Unfortunately we don't collect SMF record type 103. We have other SMF records though.
Could you please let me know if there is any data source to get statistics of HTTP server utilization.
Thanks & Regards, |

If you are using the IBM HTTP server, check the configuration file /etc/httpd.conf to find the log file location. The default location is /usr/lpp/internet/server_root/logs/ but the directory can be changed by the /etc/httpd.conf file, and within that directory look for the file httpd-log.Mmmddyyyy (example: httpd-log.Apr102013); if present, this file contains a list of all IP addresses accessing the HTTP server for that given day. |

Hello Robert,
As always, your suggestion worked great!
httpd-log.Apr052013
httpd-log.Apr062013
httpd-log.Apr072013
httpd-log.Apr082013
httpd-log.Apr092013
httpd-log.Apr102013
Gratefully, |
