And now reread that yourself, and check if you can make any sense of it.

Your requirement is clear as mud

1) You have a PDS
2) the PDS contains MEMBERS
3) each/some MEMBER contains some kind of JCL
4) You want to extract something ....

(3) how do You determine which member to process ???
(4) how do You determine what info to extract ???

IT is pretty deterministic so if You can define a PATTERN to analyze
then You will be able to retrieve the relative data
otherwise You will have to do it by hand

Still clear as mud - probably language barrier but...

it what is IT?
versions what do you mean by versions? Versions of what?

Oh, and what has this to do with CLISTs or Rexx?

Questionable. Let me see if I can translate this into English:
Quote:
I have a PDS that contains 100 members; each member contains one or more jobs. In each job, zero or more generations (not versions) of one or more generation data groups are created. My task is to generate a PS data set, using the PDS as source, where each record contains the name of a created generation data set (i.e., that has a status of NEW), followed by the LRECL of the data set.

Is that what you're trying to say?
