We can create an Alternate Index of a ESDS file.
But for creating an Alternate Index we require a Primary key and an Alternate key.
But ESDS file does not have a Key.
Please guide me I am lost.. |

The AIX key is just a field in the ESDS base cluster and has nothing to do
if the base is keyed. |

Create a small KSDS. Create a small ESDS. Same size records on both, same data in both. Build an Alternate Index on each. "PRINT" the Alternate Indexes and look at the output. Reflect upon what you notice. |

Well, enrico, that's comprehensive :-)
subdalal,
Just make sure you go through it all and understand it. If you don't understand, ask. |
