EDIT MQ

How EDIT a message already in MQ -- like in a flat file.

Is there any utility in place?

Hi shanth555,

If you could explain your requirement why you are try to edit QUEUE message probably we could help you with better answers

Personally that beats the purpose of using MQ

As in general the MQ is mostly used for realtime needs

I just wanted to know whether we can edit the MQ thru utility. There is no business requirement on this.

Help me out if there is the way...

I dont think if you could edit the queue like you edit the files using MQ utility menu

the auditors might be <very happy> if such a possibility existed out of the box

being able to edit a message in the queue would be giving somebody the authority to change the history of data as it flows thru the different stages of a process

But what you could do is use the MQ utility menu and the option PD where the file can copy the data to queue

So then you can edit the file and so on before copying the contents
