We have a requirement to set up date ahead of current date in CICS region and DB2 applications etc. Currently our shop uses a CLIST called TicToc which does this. We need to make this applicable for a different LPAR where we have both our Dev and Integration region. But in this LPAR we need to make the date/time set up applicable only to Integration region CICS and its corresponding batch processes(which accesses DB2 etc). Is it possible to set up date just for one region when we have 2 different CICS regions within the same LPAR.

This is a question that can only be answered by someone working AT YOUR SITE. There is no way we can know what the CLIST does, nor do we know anything about how your site is set up. You need to contact your site support group for assistance.

There are products, such as HOURGLASS, which allow control of the date for CICS regions and batch jobs. However, these products are NOT part of base z/OS and hence must be purchased.

If you have honest-to-Kamisama TICTOC/MVS, read the fine manual. If you have some kludge called TicToc, who knows?

The IBM FREE Supportpac "CH15: The CICS Time Machine" is another choice -

Although it may not be as robust as some of the other 3rd-Party products, it may do the trick.

Oh, did I mention it was FREE? icon_wink.gif
