Hi,
Im currently working as Mainframes Technology analyst with Infosys. I aspire to shift my career and move into DBA role.
Please shed some light on the basic certifications that i need to take up to qualify mself to become a DBA.

Hello,
Until you become qualified, you should NOT try to obtain cerrtification. . .
One of the worst "things" in our industry is people with certification without qualification.
If possible, suggest you work with your organization to begin moving in that direction and once you have become somewhat experienced, then look into certification.
I do not know about employers where you are, but several of my clients have walked new people out the door (terminated) after learning they had gotten certified but had no idea how to actually do the work. They could answer lots of questions, but if you placed them in front of a terminal, they had no idea how to do relatively simple tasks. |
