I need to match records from 2 files using JOINKEYS. File 1 has 1000 records and File 2 has say 1000000 records (in short number of records in File 1 is much lesser than the number of records in File 2 and length of File 1 is also lesser than length of File 2). If a match is found the output should be the entire record from File 2.
Currently code is like SORTJNF1 points to File 2 and SORTJNF2 points to File 1.
My question is, will there be any perfomance improvements if I use SORTJNF1 as File 1 and SORTJNF2 as File 2. I thought of testing this in test regions but I don't have enough volume of data available to see if there are any performance improvements in terms of Elapsed time and CPU utilization.
