As Dave mentioned......JCL doesn't get compiled......
Search for "JEM", "!JCK" in the forum to get how you can get errors in JCL prior to submit.
And please choose appropriate Title for your POST from now.

Hi,
You can use TYPRUN=SCAN, to Scan the JCL for any error.

Hi,
Yes you can check for Syntax errors only. We can use the line command JEM or SFMJEM to check the syntax errors. It will lists all the syntax errors.

yes u can..
it varies from system to system...
some are JJ,JEM,JSCAN,JPLUS,..
But TYPERUN=SCAN will work in all systems.
