AREAS: Mainframes - System Programmer
WORK LOCATION: Hyderabad/Chennai/Bangalore/Noida

A thorough understanding of mainframe Hardware including, processors, Coupling Facility, DASD, Tape, Switches.
A thorough understanding of z/OS operation systems and its various components.
A full understanding of z/OS installation process for a large mainframe environment.
Knowledge of OEM software, including CA, Compuware, Beta products.
Ability to use, configure and debug problems with z/OS Unix System Services
Ability to configure and debug problems related to a parallel sysplex environment, including system logger.
DB2 data sharing, VSAM RLS (SMSVSAM), Enhanced catalog sharing, RACF data sharing, JES2 checkpoint.
Job Control Language.
TSO and ISPF expertise .
Clist and REXX programming skills.
Assembler language programming skills .
Knowledge of support tools including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with SMF and RMF data reporting
3 + years MVS Operating experience
3+ years MVS program products experience
Three or more years of MVS Storage Admin experience, including DFSMS, PPRC, Mainview and CA1 knowledge.
Competent working knowledge in the following areas is required: DASD - IBM and HDS; TAPE - IBM - Virtual Tape Systems; IBM PPRC.
Must have hands-on working experience with the following Software: Z/OS, TSO, ISPF, JCL, IDCAMS, DFSMS, DFSMSHSM, DFSMSDSS, DCOLLECT, ISMF, JES2, JES3, CA-1, DFSMSRMM, PPRCMM, VSAM, ICF CATALOGS.
It is a plus to have experience in these areas as well: REXX, CLIST, MS OFFICE SUITE, HTML, SAS, SYNCSORT, MAINSTAR SOFTWARE SUITE, MAINVIEW SRM, FDR, TDMF REPLICATOR, MOBIUS
Experience with Access, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project for project administration are highly desirable
Installation, customization and maintenance of DB2 for z/OS and related products.
Sound knowledge in SMPE .
Excellent knowledge of relational database concepts of DB2 in z/OS.
Proficiency in using DB2 tools from IBM and other vendors.
Good knowledge in performance & tuning, database sizing, system support, security and documentation.
Good experience with software maintenance.
Knowledge in planning and designing databases
Good Knowledge in Disaster Recovery
Installation, upgrade and maintenance of CICS and related products.
Sound knowledge in SMPE .
Experience in problem determination, performance tuning, setting security and web enabling CICS.
Setup and maintain CICS regions.
Technical guidance to the team.
Good Knowledge in Disaster Recovery
Experience in migration, upgrade activities.
Requirement 5 : CA-Endevor Administrator on Mainframes
Experience in CA-Endevor installation and initial setup.
Experience in supporting Endevor on bigger mainframe set-up.
Expertise in JCL, File-aid and CA products.
Coordinating with CA for product support
Good knowledge about change management
Handling maintenance and enhancements in Endevor.
Ability to handle JCL standards.
Processor groups creation and maintenance.
DB2 package administration.
Troubleshooting of compile errors.
Establish process improvements.
Incident management for analysis and reporting
Requirement 6 : Network System support on Mainframes
Strong problem determination and resolution skills.
3 + years MVS Operating experience.
3+ years MVS program products experience.
In-depth knowledge of SNA/APPN protocol, routing, and applications.
In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing and routing.
Knowledgeable in TCP/IP applications including: FTP, FTP/SSL, TN3270, SMTP, and Websphere.
Knowledgeable in file transfer applications such as Connect:Direct and Netview FTP.
Knowledgeable in session managers such as IBM Session Manager.
Knowledgeable in print software such as CA-SPOOL and PSF.
In-depth knowledge of OSA operation and configuration.
Knowledge of router and firewall functions.
VTAM and IP trace skills.
SMPE Knowledge.

Would be responsible for measurement, reporting and selected product maintenance on a variety of IBM Mainframe systems. Reporting will encompass performance, service level and billing and will include the development of new report programs as well as ongoing monitoring and alteration of existing programs.
Product support will include MXG and/or MICS as needed.
The successful candidate will also have some level of customer interface responsibilities with a moderate degree of technical complexity.
Use of the SAS programming language to analyze and present system measurement data, either from
SMF data, MXG and/or MICS databases.
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel for the presentation of both tabular and graphic data.
Knowledge and functional understanding of mainframe system architecture and facilities.
Experience with the use of ISPF and IBM OS JCL in setting up and executing jobs.
Experience with maintaining either MICS or MXG is a plus.
