Hello everyone,
in my current shop we use Install1 software which has a lot of internal macros, as well as all CICS and DB2 commands looks like macro in the source library. However in the Xpediter and Abend-Aid macros in the source code are open and readable.
Is there is a way to print source code from the Xpediter or Abend-Aid? Or save it to sequential file?
Thank you,
VD. |

Yes; if you are using version 8.5 or higher of Enterprise Common Components (also known as Compuware Shared Services), you can use the CWDDALLU utility in batch to print any single member or export it to a sequential file.
Earlier versions of ECC / CSS use different utilities to accomplish these tasks (but they can still be accomplished); so the answer depends at least partly upon which version of ECC / CSS your site has installed. |

Looks like we have version 8.8. I can not find CWDDALLU program anywhere, even google not providing much info.
Can you provide direction where I should look for it? Or possibly you have sample JCL?
Thank you. |

CWDDALLU is documented in the Enterprise Common Components User/Reference Guide manual. If your site is licensed for the software, then the manuals exist -- most likely in softcopy -- somewhere at your site. Contact your coworkers, team leader, or site support group to find them. Or you can register for a user id at the Compuware support web site (you'll need to know your site id number) and download the manual directly.
Compuware allows their software to be installed with a site-specified high level qualifier, so the only way to find the actual JCL is to talk to someone working AT YOUR SITE. The default data set name would most likely be something like COMPWARE.LCX880.SLCXCNTL and the member will be CXDDSUTL. This JCL has to be cusotmized with a JOB card and to point to the appropriate data sets, and control parameters (such as PRINT PROGRAM=ABCDEFGH) added to the SYSIN input. |
