1. Contact your site support group and work with them.
2. Contact your site support group and work with them.
3. Contact your site support group and work with them.
Starting to get an idea? Size limits on email are set in the TCP/IP configuration parameters (and can be set other places as well) and only someone working AT YOUR SITE can possibly know how these parameters are set at your site. And only someone working AT YOUR SITE could know if there's any way to work around the limitations. |

Thank you guys for your response. I don't know that this has to be routed to support group, rather i thought i can use some methods through XML or FTP scripts to compress the data. And PKZIP doesn't work here. Just trying different methods to get experts opinions and solutions. |

If your site has the default SMTP message limit of 500,000 bytes and your "huge" XML file is 4 GB, for example, there's no chance that compression of any kind will allow that transfer to happen. FTP could be used on your dekstop to "pull" the file from the mainframe, but FTP cannot be used on the mainframe to "push" the file to your desktop since that would require the desktop to be running server software, which most organizations prohibit.
Furthermore, you didn't mention FTP in your original email, just email. Of course, since you didn't define what "huge" meant to you, either, there's not much anybody would do unless they're working at your site and can review the file size, etc. |

1) Make the report VB and strip all trailing blanks
2) Use AMATERSE on the z/OS side and TERSE.EXE on the "other" side. |

Hello,
Sending this as an e-mail attachment is probably not a good way to go . . .
Suggest you determine if there is a server you cah "push" the file to or if the recipient can "pull" the file from the mainframe.
Most e-mail systems frown on (or do not allow) very large attachments . . . |
