Hi,
In SORT as per the manual
RESET - Specifies that SORT processes a VSAM output data set defined with REUSE as a NEW data set.
NORESET - specifies that SORT processes a VSAM output data set defined with REUSE as a MOD data set.
However when I tried to use NORESET option, SORT will fail if the same records(KEY) exists in the OUTPUT VSAM file.
Can you please help me to know if there are any options which can be used to get equivalent functionality of IDCAMS REPRO REPLACE command using SORT in single step?
Regards,
Chandra |

Hello,
I suspect this is intended rather than a problem. The VSAM file will not allow duplicates. . . You can't MOD duplicates onto the end of the VSAM file - they are still duplicates are they not?
I know of no "replace" option n the sort products.
Possibly i misunderstand. |

If you are dealing with KSDS then DFSORT does not have an option to replace. |
