What is a DUMMY job to you? The CA-7 Database Maintenance Guide manual, for example, has a number of references to "DUMMY" but they are all references to DD DUMMY in JCL. Nor does the CA-7 Primer manual Glossary have any references to "DUMMY". Hence the term is not used by CA-7 and could mean anything you want it to mean.
And have you checked the manuals for what you're looking for? If not, why not since that should be the FIRST place you go? |

Hello,
Do not post the same question multiple times
And do not make up terms to suit your question. Use the terminology in the documentation (yes, you might need to read it) and if there is something not clear, probably your best course of action would be to open an issue with CA Support. |

if you are part of the RBS support,
maybe you should be just looking for dummies
and forget about jobs. |

Hi, thanks for the suggestions.
I am trying to gather data of the jobs that are there in CA-7 database but don't execute (made dummy) and just there for no purpose. I mean retired job list that don't execute at all.
Thanks. |

Hello,
Do you mean to list the jobs which have EXEC flag as N? "JOB SET FOR EXEC ON MAIN"
If thats the case then this command will get you the list.
LJOB,JOB=XX*,EXEC=N |

There is one weird thing about CA7 website where manuals are.
The website asks for login and customer ID for manuals but one can dowlnoad the manuals without logging in or customer ID from FTP directory listing of manuals.
Not sure if it is intended design or a security flaw. |
