Hi All,
I am encountering below error whenever I hit the CICS web service from frontend client:
DFHPI0997 06/28/2012 07:49:03 GVUP DEVPIPET The CICS pipeline manager has encountered an error: program abend.
The associated transaction GVUP is failing with abend APIG.
I did some research on goggle and IBM is saying there is requirement of system fix. However reset of the web services are working fine, so not convinced with the same.
I am using CICS TS 3.2 and the service is provider. I am parsing WSDL given by front end team with WS2LS JCL. The pipeline and WSBind soap level is 1.1.
Any thoughts on this are welcomed.
Thanks in advance! |

The MAC manual indicates you need to do some research (emphasis added by me):
Quote: |
APIG
Explanation: A provider mode Web service invocation has failed. This may be due to a problem whilst processing a SOAP request message or generating a SOAP response message.
System Action: CICS abends the transaction with a transaction dump.
User Response: Examine the CICS trace for exception traces issued from DFHPITL. These will identify the source of the failure. If validation is currently disabled for the failing WEBSERVICE then consider enabling it and reproduce the problem. This causes CICS to call a Java based program to validate the SOAP message against the WSDL for the WEBSERVICE. If the SOAP message is malformed then a message will be issued to describe the problem in more detail.
Module: DFHPITP

For many, many years a plaque or "certificate" with the following has been displayed in my work area at clients on particularly bad performance days:
R L A P
When asked what this means, i tell them it is a rather technical acronym. It stands for Runs Like A Pig. Of which the APIG abend reminded me

Personally, I am most amused by this statement in the original post:

IBM may have fixed only one module in a many-hundred-module system, whereby almost all the system COULD be running correctly but only that one little bit (that you used) didn't work right ....
Ibm doesn't issue system fixes unless there's something not working right. |

Any one have any idea how to fix the "BAD REQUEST".
I all ready verify the below things.
1. SOAP XML is okay - we are able to send the same SOAP XML using tool
2.other application are working fine on the the URI MAP.
3. the data and data length is matched.

Hello,

other application are working fine on the the URI MAP. |
Suggest you determine the difference between one that works and the one that is failing.
What you have posted does not contain anything we can use to help
Did this ever work or is this some new coding? |
