Hi,

Is there any windows based tool to connect to Mainframe DB2 database.For example, we use Data Aqua studio to connect to SQL server 2008. So, I just want to know if there are any tools to connect to Mainframe DB2 database from Mainframes? Please help.

You need to have a DB2 client running on Windows. One of the clients is IBM Data Studio.

Hi Sekaran,

Thanks for the information. Do I need to install both DB2 client and IBM Data Studio softwares in my system or only IBM Data Studio will be enough? Please confirm.

IBM Data Studio is the client.

you still would need the jdbc drivers and a License Jar
