How to log into IMS

Wazzup, guys ??
I'm a new "mainframer" and I'd like to know how can I log into a IMS, I mean, I want to know what is the ims id using his running job.

Hello and welcome to the forum,

You need to talk with someone in your organization. Some senior on your project of the scheduling people or the technical support people would be good places to start.

The answers to your questions are quite site-specific and unless someone here works on your system, we will not know the answers.

At our shop, they have a consolidated screen with the ids listed. The IMS control regions show as ACTIVE or INACTIVE.

So they have abstracted it for us and all I have to do is put in the eight character name in the menu screen and that program connects my 3270 session to the IMS control region. I honestly wouldn't know how to connect to it any other way.

Chances are, the region to which you want to attach has something similar.
