Just curious - are there any plans to modify DFSORT to allow for a user exit E15/35 to be written in Rexx? I used a competitor sort product years ago and it allows this.
Rexx would probably not be as efficient as a COBOL program but has the advantage of fast and east coding (just like DFSORT statements). For small input files it should be ok. |

Jerryte,
DFSORT does NOT support REXX exits. We will add this to our long list of future enhancements.
Thanks |

Excellent idea. If the exit support allows the Rexx program to issue DSNREXX calls I will be ecstatic. |
