Is there a way we can setup a PDS, which will prevent itself from a member being replaced when someone else copies from external location to it?
Example:
PDS name : MY.IBMFORUM.TEST.PDS
member name : MY.IBMFORUM.TEST.PDS(TEST111)
Now, if I try to copy MY.EXTERNAL.PDS(TEST111) to MY.IBMFORUM.TEST.PDS, this action should be prevented/declined..
Could someone please help me on this..

the request does not make any sense....
what difference does it make for the member content the data origin?
a) edit the member and save the
b) replace the member content with the content of something else.
the result will always be that the member content has been changed

Hello and welcome to the forum,
If you don't want "others" to be able to write members in this pds, have the dataset protected by system security. |

Hi,
Also ensure that the replace like members in copy entry panel is not selected for by all in your team |

It is not clear what editor, panel, utility, user written program, etc... you are referring to. Please elaborate.

The scenario sounds like source/version control. |

Couldn't be; there are so many version control tools available that even a software engineer could handle the task without this yivshish |
