HI,
I want to see the list of all IMS DC transactions defined in an IMS Sub system. Is there any IMS library i can refer in TSO apart from the /DISP TRAN ALL command in IMS DC.
Or is there any batch utility i can execute to list all the transactions in sysout/file.
Please advise me.
Thanks,
Sree... |

There is a file created called a "stage 2" file that lists all of the transactions. It will take some detective work on your part to find it.
In my case, I looked for the naming convention used for the DFSRESLB libraries, took the first node of that, and entered it into ISPF's 3.4 panel.
From there, I did a find on "stage" and found it. There were a bunch of them, so it took a while to figure out which one was the list I was after, so be patient.
Also, the format is kind of complex, so you'll probably have to parse it.
I also found the "stage 1" file that has the "TRANSACT" macros listed, which is easier to read, but may not be complete. |

It's funny how this stuff bunches up. I just got a program working to call IMS Connect from windows. When I saw this post again, I figured out I'd try to send the "/dis tran all" command and see what happened.
Sure enough, I got a clean list of all of the transactions in the region!
Do you have IMS Connect attached to the region you are trying to list? There are a bunch of ways to call IMS Connect, maybe one could work for you here. |
