Does anybody know how to get report out of endevor, showing the Description field? The same filed shown in the display packages list you can generate within the tool. I do not see this on any reports? This should be a report of all packages moved into production, not one at a time.....
fyi.....I went into CA and tried to download the manual and look but my machine goes into an endless loop trying the download...another issue for me to deal with...but I tried before posting! |

If you have the product, then you should have the documentation.
My guess is that it is somewhere on your network, but nobody cared to tell you.
Anyway it is better to speak to your Endevor admin, he will be able to provide you with a working sample (mine did). |

Thanks, already been down that path, they don't know how to.
I could just hit screen prints and get it from my Jobid on SDSF, and print from there to a file, but the field is 50 bytes and 50 bytes does not show on the screen, users type free form and I need all 50.
I know the field does not show up in any of the package reports....report 70 is the closest, but does not show the description field.
I think my JAVA is backdated but I am unable fix change machine, thus I was hoping someone knew a trick or something to extract the data from endevor.
but thanks.... |

Hello,
Suggest you open an issue with CA Support - they can explain how to do it. As Marso mentioned, his Endevor Admin was able to do it. . . |

Now that I'm back at work, I could run the CSV utility (BC1PCSV0) with function:
Code: |
LIST PACKAGE ID *
TO DDNAME XXXXXXX
WHERE STATUS = (APPROVED,EXECUTED,COMMITTED) |
There is a lot of data in the output, and it seems the Description is there.
Is that what you're looking for ? |
