Paste issue in ISPF

Hi,

I have a problem with the putting text into ispf.

When i paste the data, it is pasted in the line command area ....
it ignores boundaries between command and data field

Kindly help me on this issue

My dataset info & TSO profile is

Record format . . . : FB
Record length . . . : 80
Block size . . . . : 800

....PDS (FIXED - 80)....RECOVERY OFF WARN....NUMBER OFF.................
....CAPS ON....HEX OFF....NULLS ON STD....TABS ON STD...................
....AUTOSAVE ON....AUTONUM OFF....AUTOLIST OFF....STATS ON..............
....PROFILE LOCK....IMACRO NONE....PACK OFF....NOTE ON..................
....HILITE OFF CURSOR FIND..............................

You can try with TE in the prefix area (Text Entry). You might have to experiment with NUMBER OFF/UNNUM.

Also check for possible options in your emulator.

Well, with TE there is no prefix area, which is what I assume you mean by "command area", so I don't know how you'd overwrite it :-)

You don't mean it is pasting into the command line, do you?

Hi bill,

it moves to the last line
//**********************************************************
EXEC PGM=IEFBR14 //DD1
you can see here the //dd1 is moved to the end

HI Dbz,

When i copy the content form the note pad and paste in the ispf(dataset)
it pasted in the line command area .......
when i use TE in command line now it moved to the last ...like i pasted the issue before

Well, I use TE with paste.

Sometimes it pickles it, so I either UNNUM or put NUMBER ON, depending.

At times it shuffles some characters to the left, but no biggie.

Have you looked at options in your emulator?

Have a look at this one.

Hi Bill,

I have changed the seesion parameters of the pcomm to 037 united states
but before it was 1047 united states
now its working fine
