| Problem is if the Syncsort used doesn't have the JNFnCNTL files available. That's why it ends up as two steps. |

the ts has already told that DFSORT control card do not work with SYNCSORT
after having used the example found in DFSORT smart tricks
no reason to REprovide soultion that are known not to work

Thanks so much for the explanation.
Hi Enrico,
Apologies for the confusion. I am not at all familiar with the Syncsort but, thought could do it in DFSort. From the next time onwards, I am definitely going to be extra careful.
Not sure but, how does increasing the post count help. |

& was under the impression that if it works in DFSort, it would most probably work in Syncsort as well. But, now I have understood that it is not the case. |

before replying it is a good habit to go thru the topic and look also at the links provided.
if You had looked at the link You would have noticed that the snippets were for DFSORT <only>
if the snippet had worked for the TS environment the topic would have stopped there  |

On some boards there are benefits accruing from the number of posts a member makes, so there are techniques to "pad" the post count.
Here, no benefits on the board itself, but I've heard that the number of posts made on IBMMainframs.com is an absolute, sure-fire, winner with potential partners in amor (although I have no direct evidence of this).
The only other thing is the free box of chocolates for 100 posts in a month*.
*Went the same way as Member of the Month, apparently |
