Hello Experts,
I recently came across GSAM file and eager to know details about it and i am sure there can be similar files which i might not know or come across in the past.
I wanted to read about different access methods and File types available. Can you all help me by providing links or any pointers which i can refer to know the details about those. |

A GSAM file is an ordinary PS file but is being used by IMS which uses databases so it regards the PS file as a sequential database complete with dbd. This is then called a GSAM file. |

Read IBM's manual entitled 'Using Data Sets', it covers most of this in detail.
Don't be tempted to use 'unusual' access methods without good reason as it could bite you in the arse |
