Good day to all,

For the past week or so, I have not been able to access the IBM Manuals link. I click on it, but it churns away until it finally dies. I am able to access all other links. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Rick

it is not just an issue with the manuals link ...
Something is rotten in the state of Denmark icon_wink.gif

just entering in the browser
www.ibmmainframes.com takes about 5 minutes to show the page
but using
www.ibmmainframes.com/index.php the reply is almost immediate

nothing wrong on the other site for both
www.ibmmainframeforum.com
www.ibmmainframeforum.com/index.php

and as You said it' s just about one week

I've just tried with Windows XP and IE. Didn't wait long enough to see if it "died", but not usable. Same with Ubuntu and Firefox.

I guess at about the same time going to www.ibmmainframes.com in Firefox became unusable, although it would "eventually" get there.

I assumed the latter was just me :-), so worked around it.

Thanks gents ...

I tried the links you provided Enrico, and it takes me to the forum home page ok, however, as soon as I click on the IBM Manuals link, I time out. Bill, I don't have the luxury of Firefox or Ubuntu at work (only IE) but thanks for the idea.

I haven't tried at home yet, but I will tonight and see what happens there. I'll start with IE, then Firefox and then Ubuntu. Maybe my company has put some kind of constraint(s) on that particular link. I would hate to go back to carrying all my manuals icon_smile.gif

Thanks again,
Rick

I don't think that it's a company access restriction issue; I have the same problem from home.

However, going directly to the IBM sites seems to work (for me, at least).

Eventually the manuals were presented to me. The manuals are picked up form an IBM site. If you go there, there should not be a problem.

Basically the manuals and the "posts since last vist" page I was using are very similar, with advertising stuff scattered around. Looks like the Poll changed since I last noticed it, but no idea if significant.

Thanks.

Little late to the party but wanted to say thanks. And actually, could not report it because could not log in at all. This site is becoming the part of the life!
