Just like there are DB2 SQL online simulators... is anybody aware of any online or offline DFSORT simulator available??

because it would be stupid
in IT terminology is essential to good communication
a simulator is a completely different thing from a FULL implementation of DB2
db2 express is not a simulator is a full DB2 SQL implementation for the windows platform AMEN
like up to a certain extent, MySQL,PostgreSQL,... |

Many years ago we used a desktop product called PROX/MVS. (I may not have the name right, but it was marketed with the Microfocus family of products). It was a JCL simulator that also included a SORT utility that was reasonably compatible with the real thing. As I recall, it supported simple SORT and INCLUDE/OMIT cards, but I don't think that it supported the more advanced DFSORT features, even back then.
I do not know if the product is still available. |

There may be a sort utility as part of the Z390 project. I'd check there. Doubtful if it supports the full syntax though as it would be quiet an undertaking to duplicate it. |
