An unusual problem.
A user is using HOD emulator terminal instead of PCOMMS emulator terminal.
When receiving a file from the host the resulting text file is not recognizing french characters and subsitutes wacky blocks, numbers, and symbols.
PCOMMS receives file fine.
HOD not so much.
When receiving 'text' is specified not 'binary'.
(The gentleman that looks after HOD may not respond for weeks:P) |

Hello,
That's one way 
Suggest you investigate how the translation was being done with HOD - the next client may be unwilling/unable t ochange products. Your network support people would be a good place to start. |
