Yikes! someone asked me, but I am not a USS user...
I found this thread:

but it does not have a conclusive ending.
Can someone verify that this actually works:
IKJEFT01 -> ISPSTART CMD(yourprog) -> USS rexx -> ISPF calls |

I mis-understood the original question posed to me. The real question is:
logon on to TSO -> ISPF -> option 6 -> OMVS
How to get ISPF services to work in an OMVS environment? |

I was able to get this to work:
logon on to TSO -> ISPF -> option 6 -> OMVS -> OEDIT
and then in the OEDIT command line:
and it seemed to be able to do both ISPF service calls and USS function calls.
It is not ideal, but seems to get the job done. It is not ideal in that I am not trying to do and 'edit' function, but OEDIT command is required. |
